Updated ICF Competencies Model – Interview with Michael Marx

Michael J. Marx, PCC, serves on the ICF Independent Review Board and is a leader of the ICF ‘Global Community of Practice on Ethics.’ He talks to Michael Cheuk about the updated ICF Core Competencies Model that was released in November 2019. The updated Core Competencies is being integrated in ICF-Accredited Coach Training Programs curricula this year, and a new CKA reflecting the revised Core Competencies will launch in late 2021 / early 2022.

Michael J. Marx is a Professional Certified Coach specializing in business coaching and corporate consultation. He serves on the MBA faculty of Concordia University Wisconsin where he teaches International Business and International Finance. He also teaches the Ethics course as well as the Coaching Skills Mastery course for the Professional Christian Coaching Institute. He is the author of the book Ethics and Risk Management for Christian Coaches, and he writes a column on ethics for Christian Coaching Magazine.
